Prince Among Slaves is an award-winning documentary about Abdul Rahman Ibrahima-Sori, an African prince enslaved in america, who won his freedom and became one of the most famous men of his day.

Dr. Michael Gomez, Professor of History at New York University, is a key advisor and a scholar who appeared in the Prince Among Slaves film. He is the author of Black Crescent: The Experience and Legacy of African Muslims in the AmericasExchanging our Country Marks: The Transformation of African Identities in the Colonial and Antebellum South, and Pragmatism in the Age of the Jihad: The Precolonial State of Bundu.
